Jessica earned her Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville where she studied with Dr. Linda Perry. She then completed her Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance from Roosevelt University where se studied solo repertoire with Dr. Winston Choi and collaborative with Dr. Dana Brown. While attending Roosevelt, she was active as both a soloist and collaborator, featured in their production of Poulenc’s Mamelles des Tiresias, three seasons of Roosevelt’s Operafest, opera scenes, multiple chamber groups, many vocal recitals and solo performances.
She then relocated to New York, where she was an active pianist, teacher and vocal collaborator from 2011-2020. During her decade in the city, she built a private teaching studio of approximately 40 students while maintaining a diverse performance career that spanned classical, cabaret, and honky tonk genres. Her versatility as a performer led to numerous concerts and studio work opportunities, showcasing her adaptability across musical styles.
In 2020 she moved to Southern Illinois where she established Anderson Music Studio with her mother, Carla, building a thriving piano and voice studio of approximately 65 students. Her teaching practice, showcased at andersonmusic.net, continues her dedication to nurturing musical talent while maintaining her active performance career.
